I received a postcard from Australia today. It was there waiting for me when I returned from taking a class of adults at Bournville Junior School.
The postcard had a delightful picture of a frog on it - which was why my sister, who is touring in Australia (!!) chose it. I have collected frogs of all sorts for a while now. When I was teaching junior age children I needed a collectable item that children could paint or give at Christmas, birthdays etc. You can see my frog website here or my other blog here.
It is good to be remembered - even for a liking of frogs - and good to get word from a far country.
Have you seen something lately that reminded you of someone you haven’t seen or corresponded with recently? It is good to reopen channels of communication. Send a card or a letter - tell them you remember. And, if you can, share a word of encouragement from the Bible.

Good job you used to be a junior school teacher and not a senior school biology teacher….
